Pat was carrying around a DVD copy of The Room (trailer above), a $6 million dollar independent film made by star/writer/director Tommy Wiseau with little to no previous filmmaking experience and no studio support. I was trying to remember my favorite fact about the production during lunch and, from the movie’s Wiki, here it is:
[Wiseau] was confused about the differences between 35 mm film and high-definition video, so he decided to shoot the entire film in both formats with two cameras side-by-side on the same mount.
